Last month, I gave a presentation of graduation thesis about Japanese nuclear power plant export for professors of my college.
At question time, a professor advised me to write about how to Japan survive the situation and improve the export.
"The plant was not made by Japanese maker. The technology of them is so high even now.,but people don't know that. We should try to clear up the misunderstanding . " he said.
My thesis is not a proposal.
It is analysis.
I didn't intend to refer to the future.
Moreover, I think the Japanese authorities should rethink its view of nuclear power plant.
"I'm disagree with dependence and expansion of nuclear power plant, but even so, should I suggest the way to improve it? "I said to the professor.
"YOU against the plant? so,,,, why did you decide to write about the problems? You had better change your theme."
I was so surprised at him.
Most of teachers didn't say such a thing ;my teacher(another professor) said to me I should write about it.

our time

A zoologist Tatuo Motokawa said that all mammals except human are dead when their heart beat about one billion and five millions times. (http://www.athome-academy.jp/archive/biology/0000000104_all.html)

It corresponds to 26years for us.

We human beings as wild animal had only 26 years and our average life expectancy is 80 years.
What can I do in the rest 50 years?

nuclear power

One thing I can say about the problem of the broken Fukushima plant is government and some companies hide some facts, and they(or some of them) persist strongly in nuclear power plants.
Somehow, the government don't go public with radiation level of  Tokyo yet.

After the destruction, people against plants were put in awkward position.
  • A famous actor Aymamoto Taro insisted on on-nuclear on TV, and because of that, he disappeared on TV.
  • Former prime minister Naoto Kan, he wanted change the nuclear plant policy, lost his status because of ambiguous reason he had interfered the recovery. No evidence showed to us.
  • Former economic minister Hachiro, when he visited Fukushima, he said that this town seemed dead and he lost his position.

There are some reasons why some people persist nuclear power plant.

First, they have concession and the power companies will get into red if they stop the plants.

Second,Japan promised to reduce GHG emission 25% than 1990. They think we can't achieve it without nuclear plants.

Third, they think we should keep nuclear technology.
Japan have the three anti-nuclear principles,so can't have nuclear weapon.
At the same time,Japan concern about Nothkorea,China, and Russia.

From these reasons, they hide what actually happen and keep their plants.
They said the radiation does NOT affect human health SOON.

about "pray"for japan

hi !!
I wanna talk about "pray for japan"movement after 3.11 earthquake in the world.
I'm Japanese, but this is not opinion of all Japanese people. (of course)
Please read this entry as only MY view.

I don't live in the disaster area,so this is not voice of the casualties.(but I was involved in volunteer work for 3weeks there.)

The first time I hard about "pray for Japan"movement, I felt deep emotion, but was disappointed a bit at the same time.
I thought it is quite unlike western people to choose the word "pray".
They sometimes gave me new idea, showed new movement to improve the world.
In fact, I expected for them to say"ACT"for Japan.
People all over the world were shocked at the video which wave was attacking  cities, so they couldn't stop praying(me too).

The earthquake was unheard-of. It even accelerated the rotation of the earth.

Many countries and people do something for the loss. It's enough.
The consideration encourage many suffering people .
Japan must get over the shock.

But, if it was "act for Japan"movement, the world must be different.
